Anthony Lutterman – Brinkman & Bergsma Contemporary Art

My work is an ongoing dialogue between creation and transformation. I am drawn to the space where function dissolves, where a tool is no longer just a tool but an object charged with meaning beyond its utility. The act of making is not just about shaping materials; it is about shaping thought, exploring the point where craftsmanship meets concept.

I embrace failure as a gateway to discovery, allowing broken objects, discarded tools, and raw materials to dictate new narratives. Through my work, I explore the tension between what is known and what is yet to be uncovered, constantly questioning the role of tools, materials, and the maker’s hand in the process of creation.
